about me
Isabelle mary
If you are looking for me, you will find me barefoot in the mountains with my daughter. I live in a tiny cabin in the woods in the wilder parts of Utah, raising my two year old and my trusty dog Roo, with my partner Austin.
After giving birth, I found myself completely lost in motherhood.
I know the world warns women against doing that, but I’ve come to think there is something magical within surrendering to whatever season of life we find ourselves in. It’s has felt unnatural to me to do anything other than mothering. All of my creative energy went into my daughter. Everything I was before motherhood felt foreign and distant, and I wondered if it I would ever be able to go back to my old life.
But seasons always change. My daughter is growing older, and I’ve been starting to feel the creative spark once again. There is no going back to who I once was, but in so many ways
I feel myself becoming more of who I truly am.
As I've contemplated on how I want to return to my offerings as a mother, I started to become very overwhelmed by all of the many things I offered and did in the past and the many things I want to become. Then I became even more overwhelmed by trying to simplify my interests down to 1-2 things and create a niche.
I’m not only a photographer, but I am also a:
Massage therapist
Foot Zoner
Yoga instructor
Holistic Health Coach
Film Maker
Reiki Practitioner
Tarot Reader
Traveller
Tea enthusiast
Sourdough Baker
Bone Broth Maker
Plant lover
Amateur Seamstress
Artist & Painter
Wood Chopping
Mountain Roaming Wild Woman
But when I move past the overwhelm, I begin to think of my Grandmothers. My Grandma Nola, my mother’s mother. She raised 6 kids on a farm, sewing their clothes, growing and cooking all of their meals, planting gardens, raising animals, quilting beautiful quilts, throwing pottery, her art and paintings filling every wall. My grandmother Judy, my father’s mother. She raised her 4 sons overseas, learning different languages, hosting diplomatic parties for my grandfather, all while going to school and continuing her education, she was always well spoken and well written with a sharp memory to this day, traveling the world with her family, leaving her strict catholic upbringing for something new that she believed in.
It’s in my blood.
The mother’s before me didn’t feel the need to label or “niche” themselves down to one thing. They just lived.
Motherhood has taught me how to LIVE.
It has shook me awake and back into my body reminding me that every cell and every vein pumps the same life force that flows through our entire existence.
It is the Earth. Her plants, and creatures, and ever changing seasons that roar for us to awaken.
It is the healing and nourishment that calls for us to remember to come back to our bodies.
It is the art that reminds us to open our eyes and take in the magic and beauty that exists all around us.
It is the movement flowing freely through our bodies, and the sun on our naked skin.
It is the new life that was created in the womb, with ancient new eyes, wildly taking in this form and reality.
It is so much more than any one thing could hold. Yet, it flows through all things.
This is how I choose to share myself with the world. No matter what I share, I will share it with this exact life force and remembering.
Every offering is the simple reminder to come back into your body.
Breathe life into your body.
Let this life move through your body.
This is embodiment.
Whether you are in front of my camera,
Or on my massage table,
Or sharing a cup of tea.
AWAKEN!
LET US ALL REMEMBER
Thank you for being here!

working & motherhood
I’m currently in what I consider a semi-maternity leave. I’m not quite ready to return to working full time, but I am feeling excited to slowly begin creating and collaborating again. Because of this, I’m offering a limited number of sessions and projects. My pricing reflects the time, care, and creative energy that goes into my work.
For weddings, family sessions, headshots, and traditional portrait work, my rates are firm.
That said, I love collaborating on projects that feel especially aligned and creatively inspiring. I’m open to more flexibility for artful or purpose-driven work such as rebranding support for small businesses and artists, travel retreats, documentation of eco-villages and sustainable communities, and projects centered around culture, creativity, and earth-centered living.
At this stage, I’m especially interested in work that supports small businesses, artists, women-led spaces, and initiatives focused on sustainability and community. If you feel your project aligns with this vision, I’d love to hear more about it.
